Since the Madaket platform went live in 2015, our goal has always been to help healthcare organizations change their administrative processes from the inside out. We work with clearinghouses to create deep partnerships that help them build solutions that make administrative tasks easier and faster for their teams, as well as the payers and providers they work with.
One organization that we’ve worked with to digitize the burdensome administrative tasks of EDI enrollment is PNC Healthcare. Though known for its banking services, PNC provides clearinghouse services to provider and payer clients within its robust healthcare offering.
Like many other clearinghouses, PNC Healthcare recognized that a disproportionate amount of time and resources were spent on enrollments and re-enrollments—time that could have been better utilized servicing their clients.
Together with PNC Healthcare, we put to work our flagship solution, EDI Enrollment, deploying Madaket’s key features, including an all-payer form library, auto-population of data, e-signatures, and payer status updates. With more than 4,440 payer connections, we were also able to accommodate all of PNC’s payer requirements. Additionally, PNC Healthcare leveraged Madaket’s API capabilities to build a portal that enables providers to easily enter their information, select payers and specific transactions they want to enroll for, and complete tasks for any payer—all in one place.
The results speak for themselves. In 12 months, PNC Healthcare achieved an 83% decrease in form preparation time, a 75% decrease in form rejections from payers, and a 75% increase in monthly enrollment volume. PNC Healthcare has experienced what can be described as true business transformation.
While we’d like to take credit, the truth is: PNC was ready. PNC Healthcare was and is on the leading edge of healthcare organizations prioritizing automation and digital work to help eliminate paper-based, manual tasks that have no place in the business of healthcare. As a result of its business transformation, PNC also recently received the Celent Model Bank 2020 Award for Commercial Payments.
