Hello again, everyone, and welcome back to the Madaket Minute.

My name is Martin Cody, SVP of Sales and Marketing for Madaket Health.

And in this minute, we’re going to talk about something that CMS is doing because there’s an old phrase that it’s all about the Benjamins.

And for CMS, those Benjamins are starting to add up.

In the month of May, they have issued their eighth fine of the year for price transparency violations.

And it’s the largest fine they’ve issued.

So, couple that with what’s happening by many law firms doing secret shoppers at payers provider networks and their directory accuracy and finding out that they’re not accurate.

So class action lawsuits are happening, CMS is ratcheting up the fines and the cadence with which those fines are coming is increasing.

All of it has to do with directory accuracy and accurate provider information. Price transparency is not going away.
